hai everyone! it seems youve stumbled into mcgregors garden... now you face the consequences. ^_^ as you may have noticed, i had the idea for this and wrote this little intro post almost a year before posting this. thats because i wanted my own neocities but i got stumped on how i wanted the page to look and just never did LOL but recently a friend reminded me that spacehey, a site i last used when i was a completely different person, exists. but then after a while of radio silence over there i remembered that i crave validation all the time forever so i cross-post here now. here i am, taking your questions! ^_^

who are you?
im vinny mcgregor, a weirdofreak on the internet whose favorite pastime is talking to no one. it/its please but if u know me irl and somehow found me you get she/her privileges.

what is this place?
mcgregors garden! exactly what it says on the tin! except for the part that says i talk about music. this can be weirdo nerd shit but also literally anything i want. the tin manufacturers forgot to put all that on there.

are you a music critic?
NOOOOOO god no. im not thoughtful enough to feel comfortable calling myself that. im just some college kid here for the love of the game, hoping that theres someone out there just like me. if i ever have some big ego trip in the future point me to this bullet point please.

how often will you post?
whenever i feel like it. which may be never. but heres to hoping!

no. vinny starchild mcgregor is not my real name. yes my pen middle name is starchild. i left that out in the intro for dramatic effect. lets go over the etymology!

vinny - vinyl. its also just a cool name
starchild - star + child. it sounds stupid...ly cool

imaginary songs (for imaginary people) is an album by the brood needs food released december 19th, 2008, and it has been on loop for the past week. guys its SO GOOD omg. it only has 2 supporters on bandcamp [one of whom is how i found this album] and it needs more. all of these songs are so earwormy and the riffs are always popping in my head at random. one of the first things you will learn about me is that i goddamn LOVE IT when tracks seamlessly transition into eachother, and of course this does that. its so awesome. my favorite track is mcgregors garden, as you could probably tell. the loop that the track is built on is so oughhh. ooouuggghhhh. everything is just so well put together dude. other songs i like a lot are birdbrain [that riff...], paper plane [its like a warm blanket], paper and plastic [so catchy...], and hey carmen [makes me hopeful for the future]. anyway please check this album out!

my normal posts will probably be longer than that, but i just wanted something to kick this off ^_^ also its past midnight and im writing this all in my journal by hand so i wanna rest. goodnight! see you soon?

its so strange reading that now because i feel like i havent changed much over the past year [well. except for the past two months. you'll learn more about that soon] and yet i sound so different. i guess the word im looking for is ive grown more articulate and also cynical? idk. yall tell me later when i have more evidence of who i am now LOL. anyway IM HERE BABY!!!!!
